2 Maoists held in Bihar
Two Maoists wanted in connection with murder of two chowkidars were today arrested with arms and ammunition in the district, a senior police officer said. Acting on a tip off, police raided Pavai village and nabbed Maoist Rigan Manjhi with a country-made pistol and two ammunition, Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar said. Another Maoist Jitendra Paswan was arrested from Shivdih Mushari tola area of the district, he said. Both the ultras were wanted in connection with the murder of two chowkidars in the district couple of months ago, Kumar said.
Three Maoists arrested in Chhattisgarh
Three Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres, each carrying a reward of INR 5000, were arrested from Dantewada District on December 13, reports PTI. The Maoists have been identified as Kuhrami Linga alias Kuta (32), Dewa Ram Markam alias Khunta and Kamlu (32). “The rebels were caught by a patrolling team of the district police and CRPF in forest near Chhote Bedma village in the district,” said Dantewada Superintendent of Police (SP) Kamalochan Kashyap.
