After two decades spent in poverty, war, and hunger the working masses of Bosnia and Herzegovina finally stood up against oppression and joined the millions of enslaved people who are fighting for their rights all over the world. After a long period of rampant nationalism, which capitalists and war profiteers used for personal enrichment by looting of the once state-owned property, the masses were brought into poverty and misery. While the masses starve and suffer in poverty, those who got rich on the disaster worry about only one thing – how to increase their capital.
The common Bosniak, Serb, and Croat are living equally difficult lives. Who is responsible for that? The responsible are all the parasites, politicians, imams, priests, bankers and capitalists, who were the first to call to arms when it was the time to push the people into mutual slaughter.
The events in Tuzla, and other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina show us that the ones in power, in order to fulfill their interests, could not manipulate the oppressed masses with the help of nationalist rhetoric any longer. The masses are rising against the system that they are trying to save by way of sheer brutality. The brutality carried out by the police against protesters is only proof of how the government is afraid of the rage of the oppressed peoples. It is the end of their nationalist, fascist, and predatory orgy! Finally class consciousness has begun to awaken in the people, awareness that the division into nations is less important than the division between the oppressors and the oppressed, between capitalists and proletarians.
The disorganization and the naivety of the masses in the first days of the uprising don’t mean that the oppressed masses won’t quickly overcome all the tactics of class struggle. The problem is not in the masses, because they are leading the class struggle. The problem is the lack of a revolutionary subject that can lead them to their goals. These shortcomings can certainly be used by those forces that would try to manipulate the masses with false promises and hidden agendas. These events are a great opportunity for workers movement and the revolutionary movement to strengthen their ranks and to get closer to the masses. The revolutionary spirit of those who have a mouth full of “revolution” must be demonstrated on the barricades, and on the front lines.
THE ONLY WAY FOR A SUCCESSFUL CLASS STRUGGLE AND A BETTER LIFE IS THE ROAD OF THE REVOLUTION!
DOWN WITH THE DICTATORSHIP OF CAPITAL!
FORWARD, IN THE FIRST LINES OF FIGHT!
