Comrades, Gran Marcha Hacia el Comunismo is grateful to the Peru People´s Movement for having invited us to attend this International Conference. Currently in Spain, month after month, the rulers of the reactionary “popular” party do not stop in implementing anti-worker and anti-people measures following the mandates of their bosses comfortably seated in their offices of the European Union in Brussels, the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, the International Monetary Fund in Washington, etc. Against these abuses, the proletariat and the people´s masses from North and South and East and West of Spain are mobilizing through strikes, demonstrations and other actions of struggle to demonstrate their total rejection.

But without a revolutionary ideology that guides these mobilizations, without a revolutionary political party of the proletariat that leads them and shows them which is the road to put an end once and forever to this rotten and decadent capitalist system and opens the doors in order take the necessary steps that will allow reaching a new society without exploiters and exploited, the new world of Communism, all these struggles will only serve to the forces and energies of the proletariat and the people´s masses being weakened.

We, Gran Marcha Hacia el Comunismo, proclaim high and clear that this revolutionary ideology does exist: it is Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. Gran Marcha Hacia el Comunismo, who is working for the creation of the revolutionary political party of a new type, the Communist Party, uphold the red flags of the Paris Commune, of the Great October Socialist Revolution and the construction of socialism in the USRR under the leadership of the Communist Party (Bolshevik) of the USRR with V.I. Lenin and J. Stalin at its head, and specially the contributions of the Chinese revolution and in particular the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in China between the years 1966 and 1969 led personally by Mao Tsetung and his closest comrade-in-arms Lin Piao. Also, Gran Marcha Hacia el Comunismo appreciates and studies the contributions that, in recent years, several Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Communist Parties have made –and continue making- in the long road of the struggle of the proletariat and people´s masses for their liberation, leading revolutions and people´s wars like in Peru, India, Nepal, etc., from which we want to extract the positive and negative resulting lessons.

And, whether some like it or not, this ideology is alive. Marxist-Leninist-Maoist parties, organizations and nucleuses in the five continents raise the red flag of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. Side by side with the peasants in the jungles of Peru, India or Philippines; in the people´s slums of Brazil, Morocco or Tunisia; in the mountains of Turkey; in the very heart of the imperialist countries like France, Canada and Italy and in a multitude of cities and villages of other countries in the world, the Communists, the Marxists-Leninists-Maoists, develop their revolutionary activity, some through armed struggle leading people´s wars and others preparing to start it when the conditions have ripened.

In our “Project of Political and Programmatic Basis” drawn up in 2006, we wrote that:

“The history of the International Communist Movement is a glorious process of struggle through which the Communists of the world have struggled and struggle to unite at the service of conquering their goal: the Communist society. In this long march three internationals have materialized: the Working Men´s International Association known as the First International founded by Marx and Engels in 1864; the Second International founded by Engels in 1889 and the Third International, the Communist International, founded by Lenin in 1919”; that “the creation in March 1984 of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement (RIM) in 1984 was a very important step for the unity of the Marxists-Leninists-Maoists of the world” and that “the Communists in the Twenty-first century, the Marxists-Leninists-Maoists need to unite in an International Communist of a new type”.

We are of the opinion, and we have made it public in our communiqué on the occasion of May 1st of this year and subsequently in the statement of last 8 August entitled “Build an International Communist Movement firmly founded in the Principles of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and in Opposition to Revisionism and all forms of Right and “Left” Opportunism”

(the latter published as a reply to to Resolutions 1 and 2 of the Special Meeting of Parties of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement of May 1st 2012), but we wish to insist on it taking the opportunity provided by this Conference, that “(….) today the communists, the Marxists-Leninist-Maoists and revolutionaries of Spain, must support the efforts of those Marxist-Leninist-Maoist parties and organizations that in different countries struggle against the new variants of revisionism and opportunism (prachandism, avakianism, etc.) and the ideological, political and organizative unity of the Marxists-Leninists-Maoists of the world can therefore continue being promoted in order to give solution to the problems the world proletarian revolution faces in the Twenty-first Century”.

A few weeks ago marked twenty years of the historical speech of Chairman Gonzalo of 24 September 2012 after his arrest. We also join to the demand to his presentation in public live and in person and to allow him to pronounce himself. And we want to bring up to this Conference the words that Chairman Gonzalo pronounced when he was interviewed in the underground by “El Diario” of Lima, and were published in that newspaper of 24 July 1988. Replying to the question on how that the PCP sees proletarian internationalism today and in the future, Chairman Gonzalo replied:

“First of all, we see it as a principle, a very important principle, because, as I´ll say again, the proletariat is an international class and we Communists are internationalists, because in no other way can we serve Communism. Our Party has always been concerned with training its members, its fighters, and the masses in proletarian internationalism, concerned with educating them in Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, to serve the world revolution and to fight untiringly and unswervingly so that Communism may flower on earth. For a time we lost our links with other Parties. Later on, those ties were reestablished, and we are contributing in struggling for the International Communist Movement, which is why we are members of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement which we consider to be a step in the regrouping of the genuine Communists. We think that this is a complex task, because, if it is complex and difficult to form a Party and carry it forward, how much more complex will it be to struggle so that Communists, through their different parties and organizations, can unite. We know that this is an enormous but indispensable task. We believe there are those who concur, who struggle; and we are struggling, with all the limitations we might have, to see that proletarian internationalism may again bring together the Communists in the world to struggle jointly for the realization of our final goal. We understand that the problem is extremely complex and difficult, but we Communists are made for this kind of task”.

On the part of Gran Marcha Hacia el Comunismo, we wish that the works of this International Conference are fruitful. And specially that they serve to advance in this task that we Communists have to systematize the application of Maoism in the world and debate the current disagreements that exist in the International Communist Movement in order to unite in a world level. A task that no doubt will be complex and difficult, as Chairman Gonzalo stressed, but we cannot keep ourselves outside and Gran Marcha Hacia el Comunismo will try, as far as possible, to participate actively.

Long live the unity of the Communists!

Long live Marxism-Leninism-Maoism!

Madrid (Spain), October 2012
