Wanted Jan Militia member nabbed

A wanted Maoist insurgent was nabbed by a joint team of the District Police and Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF) during the anti-Naxal operation at Bayanaar village in Kondagaon district of the State. The joint team which conducted the search operation at Bayanaar and Mungawar Madnaar villages under the supervision of District Superintendent of Police D Shravan and Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) Surjeet Atri nabbed the insurgent on a tip off from Bayanaar, police sources said.

It was revealed that insurgent Dakhad Salaam, son of Nariya, a resident of Bayanaar was a member of the ‘Jan Militia’ and had been a member of the Naxali Sangham even before 2010 and helped Naxals in their criminal activities. It was also revealed during the interrogation that the said insurgent was also allegedly involved in burning of a tractor in 2011 with other Naxals Rasool Shori, Govind, Kosa, Sanau, Sante and Manku which was deployed for the construction of road between Bhatpaal and Bayanaar.
