Ultras belonging to the banned Naxal outfit CPI-Maoists have resorted to poster campaign in Bandgaon and Anandpur blocks of West Singhbhum district warning the top leaders of the State Government including Chief Minister Arjun Munda to take immediate steps administrative corruption, police said.
The posters, written in typical red ink, said Chief Minister Munda, his two deputies Hemant Soren and Sudesh Mahato and Shibu Soren, the chairman of the steering committee of the ruling coalition and also president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha should curb corruption or face the Naxal ire.
The posters, which were later removed by the police, also demanded immediate stopping of anti-Naxal operation green hunt in Saranda area of the State, police said.
“We came to know about the act after we got a call from a local resident. On verification we found the information to be true. Soon we confiscated the posters,” said a police official.
A villager said that propaganda of Maoist literature and ideology is used as an attack to a democratic right of a person. The Maoists wage poster war to instill fear among villagers.
