Contractor arrested for Maoist links

A petty contractor was arrested today for alleged involvement in Maoist activities in Odisha’s Malkangiri district, police said. Acting on intelligence information, a police team arrested contractor Ranjan Pangi of Khairput village under Mudulipada police station, Inspector In-Charge Rajesh Kumar Chhetri said. Pangi was allegedly involved in a number of offences including the murder of K C Rath, former inspector of Mudulipada police station and a contractor, he said.
