Three IEDs seized from near a STF camp in Bihar

Three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were today recovered planted under a road at Mahendrawada village in Sitamarhi district of Bihar, 800 metres away from a Special Task Force Camp, a police official said. Acting on information given by a naxalite Suhag Paswan, who was arrested from Gujarat recently, a police team from East Champaran district recovered the IEDs from under the road, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Operation, Sanjay Kumar Singh said.

Paswan was arrested from Kutch region of Gujarat by the STF team and brought here yesterday, Singh said. The East Champaran police had taken the ultra on a four days’ remand for questioning him in connection with his involvement in naxal activities in the district.
