Bajura CPN-Maoist strike continues

BAJURA: One day after the CPN-Maoist Bajura began its relay strike, it got the solidarity from the district-based civil organisations.

District-based non-government organisations like the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Federation of Non-government Organisations, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Teachers Union and civil organisations have supported the strike as the demands put forth by them are beneficial for the district, said Gagan Rawal, chairperson of the Federation of Non-government Organisations.

CPN-Maoist, Bajura, has started indefinite relay strike putting forth seven-point demand related to the issues of the district in front of the DAO from Thursday morning.

The party’s demands include import of food materials in the district, repair of the Sanphe-Martadi road section and operation of transportation, doctors, resettlement of flood and landslide victims among other things.
