Kirandul police claimed to have arrested three members of Jan Militia from the jungles of Bade Michchipara near Potali village on Friday morning.
Several thousands of currency notes, two pointed arms, battery, detonator wires,
Maoist literature and other incriminating materials were also recovered from the site, police said.
Sources said a joint team of district police force, Central Reserve Police Force, Special Task Force and CoBRA jawans had left for Aranpur to conduct a search operation Thursday night.
While on way to Patali village on Friday morning the team spotted a group of Maoists in the jungles of Bade Michchipara near Patali village. Seeing the search party the ultras tried to flee but after encircling them the team nabbed three members of the Jan Militia (foot soldiers of Maoist organisation). They were identified Maravi ram, Markami Bhima and Nuppa Jaggu.
During interrogation the trio accepted their participation in the landmine explosion at Aranpur a month ago.
Police are expecting some more information from the militants.
Two sharp pointed arms, several thousand of currency notes, Battery, detonator wires, pamphlets, Maoist literature and other incriminating materials were also recovered from the site.
The militia members reportedly told police that cash recovered from them was meant to procure essential items for Maoist guerrillas.
The trio also provided a list of new members of Jan Militia recruited recently by the Maoist organisation. After interrogation the trio were presented in a court which sent them to jail on remand.
