Two Maoists arrested in Giridih

Two Maoists, one of whom was wanted for attack on the convoy of former chief minister Babulal Marandi, have been arrested from Jharkhand’s Giridih district.

Ravi Marandi and Deep Chand Kisku were arrested at a place under Dumri police station of the district yesterday, Superintendent of Police A V Homkar told reporters here today.

He said Ravi Marandi was involved in the attack on the convoy of Marandi in Giridih district’s Tisri area in 2002 and for the killing of a sub-inspector of Kathikund police station in Dumka district a couple of years ago.
