BANEPA: General Secretary of CPN-Maoist, Ram Babahur Thapa ‘Badal’, has said the government must step down to seek a political outlet to the country.
Inaugurating the party’s district contact office at Dhulikhel on Sunday, General Secretary Badal said the 12-point understanding was no longer relevant so a fresh agreement was necessary.
Roundtable conference would the best option to resolve the present crisis, he said, adding that only the next interim government could hold election.
Similarly, he said the heros of people’s war have turned into antagonists.
“If the present government holds election, it would be like the elections conducted by the former king”.
The Maoist leader also blamed the government of signing an anti-nationalist BIPPA agreement with India.
