Two CRPF jawans killed by Maoists during combing operation in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Two CRPF personnel were killed and five others injured in an ‘exchange of fire’ during combing operation against Maoists in Jharkhand’s Khunti district today.

The incident took place at 4 in the morning, when the team of security personnel were fired upon by the Maoists.

“Two persons died on way to Apollo hospital in Ranchi. They suffered injuries in exchange of firing during intelligence-based operation against the Maoists,” Director General of Police GS Rath told PTI.
