Three Maoists arrested

Three CPI (Maoists) were arrested by the security personnel from Ranka forest in Seraikela-Kharswan district, a senior police official today said.

The arrest were made during the ongoing long-range anti-naxal operation in the district, Superintendent of Police Upendra Kumar said.

The arrested Maoists were identified as Thumba Paharia, a hard-core naxal, his accomplices John Purty and Bhudu Munda, he said.

Police has recovered three country-made pistols, two magazines, wire and explosives, he added.
