Sasaram: Security forces destroyed a Maoist bunker in Bihar’s Rohtas district and seized a haul of arms and explosives today.
Superintendent of police Manu Maharaj said Rohtas police and CRPF’s CoBRA battalion launched a joint combing operation and destroyed the bunker at Bajarmarwa village located on Kaimur hills.
However, none of the Maoists were apprehended as they escaped before the combing operation, he said.
The security forces seized 25 detonators, one quintal explosives, a pistol, five uniforms, besides Maoist literature. Some applications by villagers to the Maoists to be taken up at their kangaroo courts were also recovered, he added.
