Beddawi residents block international road in North Lebanon

Security forces opened the international road linking Beddawi to Akkar after Beddawi residents blocked it to protest the increasing gas prices, the National News Agency reported on Thursday.

“Residents blocked the road from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m. to protest the increasing gas prices and the deterioration of the livelihood situation,” the report said.

The protesters called on the government to address the situation, particularly the increasing prices of products.
