Osias identified the fatality as Melody Delamansi while wounded was a certain Police Officer 1 (PO1) Flores.
Osias said Delamansi and Flores together with three other policemen were talking to the residents when the NPAs appeared and opened fire.
He said soldiers from nearby patrol base and policemen rushed to the crime scene and pursued the NPAs who fled to the nearby village of Iba.
He described Delamansi, aside from anti-communist advocate, as a tribal leader carrying the title of “Tagahusay” or mediator.
Delamansi, whose two brothers were also killed by the NPA rebels, had been receiving death threats from the communist guerrillas, Osias added.
