Clashes, unrest in Tunisian Qafsa city

TUNIS, April 13 (KUNA) — Violent clashes erupted Friday afternoon between Tunisian youngsters and security personal in Qafsa area, south of Tunisia, after a youth attempted to burn himself in protest against his deteriorating living conditions.
Quoting sources in the troubled area, Tunisian Press Agency (TAP) said nationals were holding a protest and burned tires in the center of the city, later clashes erupted with police forces who attempted to disperse the protest.
The sources added that one youth was transferred to hospital after trying to burn himself, noting that medical reports showed his condition was stable.
The source also said that calm has gradually returned to the city after interference by police and nationals who called for an end to the protest.
