Hardcore Maoist cadre held

Sasaram (Bihar), Apr 2 (PTI) A hardcore Maoist cadre was arrested today at Nauhatta in Bihar’s Rohtas district, the police official said. Acting on a tip off, the police raided a hideout in Bishunpur village and arrested Arjun Chandravanshi this morning, Superintendent of Police (SP) Manu Maharaj said. The Maoist ultra was wanted in about 18 cases, including a landmine blast near Dabua crossing in 2002 in which several policemen were killed, he said. Chandravanshi was being interrogated to ascertain his activities, Maharaj said.
