Odisha: Deadly Explosives recovered by Koraput Police

Report by Manoranjan Routray; Koraput: The bomb disposal squad of Koraput district police diffused  land mines. Police today recovered two steel container (25 liter each), Gelatin (Explosive Gel) 58 packets of 125 grams each, cordex wire 1000 meters in the forms of series of knots, Electronic detonator o4 no’s and flexible wire 50 meters.

On getting specific input regarding planting of land mines on Machkund- Lamtaput road, IIC Machkund along with troops of 130 BN BSF carried out road sanitization and recovered Two land mines planted underneath a culvert near village Matamput 7 Kilometers from Machkund towards Lamtaput.

Recovering the deadly explosives, forces averted major mishappening in the area as these land mines would have been used to target forces said the superintendent of Police Avinash Kumar in a press meet at Koraput today. The local Naxal commander Suryam of Karim nagar district and his group suspectedly involved in this desire Mr Avinash
Kumar said. Santosh Malla, ASP, Operation, Asish Singh, ASP, Koraput, Akhilesh pratap Singh, SDPO, Malkangiri, Jagannath rao, SDPO, Laxmipur were presented in the Press meet.
