Bihar: Three hardcore Maoists arrested

Muzaffarpur (Bihar): Three Maoist cadre were arrested along with a haul of arms and ammunitions from Meenapur area in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district, a top police officer said.

Acting on a tip off, the police raided Bhelahi Lachhi village and nabbed the Maoists – identified as Vijay Paswan, Mahesh Patel and Roshan Kumar – Director General of Police (DGP) Abhayanand said.

The police seized four mobile phones, one pistol, seven cartridges, one country-made bomb and a map from the possession of the ultras, he said.

The trio was wanted in several cases of violence in the district, Abhayanand said.
