Maoists gun down cadre for quitting outfit in Chatra

Chatra (Jharkhand), Jan 11 (PTI) Maoists today shot dead a cadre for quitting the banned rebel outfit in Chatra district, the police said here. A bullet-riddled body was recovered at Roshan village of the district, the Superintendent of Police, Anup Birtheray, told reporters. The SP said a note left by the CPI (Maoist) activists was recovered from the spot. The Maoists claimed responsibility for gunning down Makheran Ganju, their former “area commander” before disassociating himself to “indulge in criminal activities”, the police officer added.
