Odisha: Cops nab two Maoists in Rayagada

Report by Kishore Dash; Rayagada: During  a combing operation by CRPF and district police in the dense forest areas   bordering Chandrapur and Muniguda police station area, the Muniguda cops succeeded in nabbing two Maoist ultra from Hanumantpur village, on Sunday evening. Two live landmines, Maoist literatures and posters have been recovered from their possession, Muniguda police said.

The duo have been identifies as Prasad Guludika and Rusinga alias Bilura Breakbeta. While, Prasad was arrested from Hanumathpur village, Rusinga was nabbed from Sitaguda village bordering neighbouring Phulbani district, police sources said.

Acting on a tip off, the joint police team raided the village and nabbed Prasad from there.Later, the cops arrested Rusinga basing on Prasad’s information, sources said.

They were involved in blocking Phulbani-Muniguda road during the PLGA Week celebration from December 2-8.Both the ultras were the masterminds behind many Maoist violence’s in the region, Muniguda police said.
