Police beefs up security at railway stations after Kishenji’s killing

Gaya, Nov 30 (ANI): Anticipating revenge attacks by Maoists in the wake of the killing of their top leader Kishenji, the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Gaya has intensified patrolling along the railway tracks.

Railway police force said these are routine checks and the objective is to ensure that the passengers do not face any problems.

“This is a routine checking going on. We keep doing such checking of trains and railway stations to avoid any untoward incident by anti-social elements. Mostly Rajdhani Express is checked, so that passengers do not face any problems during the journey,” said Ashok Singh, Inspector, Railway Police, Gaya.

Armed security personnel were seen deployed in large numbers and increased patrolling and intensive checking was being undertaken as luggage of the passengers and trains were being frisked. (ANI)
