PATNA: The Aurangabad police on Friday arrested two hardcore Maoists from Naxal-dominated Nabinagar block of the district. The police also recovered one 9 mm pistol, seven live cartridges and one magazine from them.
Sources said that these Maoists were wanted in around dozen cases, including blasts and other Maoist-related violence, in the district. The duo were identified as Deepak Rajwar alias Ranjit and Dharmendra Ram. They both belong to the splinter group of the banned outfit, CPI(Maoist), Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC).
The police said that acting on a tip-off that both the Maoists were present at village Naur under Baluara Tola in Nabinagar block, a raid was carried out at the village and the two were arrested. Further investigation is on in the case, the police said.
