Senanga high school pupils last Friday ran riot, damaging the institute’s property worth millions of Kwacha.
The pupils’ action was allegedly prompted by strict invigilation of the on-going grade 12 examinations.
ZANIS reports that pupils broke window panes for most of the classrooms, administration block as well as housesfor their teachers.
Police had to be called to be called to bring control the rampaging pupils and calm only returned yesterday in the morning.
Western Province Education Officer, Muyangwa Kamutumwa says preliminary investigations have identified at least 5 boys and 4 girls as ring leaders.
Describing the incident as unnecessary, Mr Kamutumwa has disclosed that the identified pupils will be expelled with immediate effect.
