Four police officers injured in bomb attack in southern Turkey


Four police officers were injured when a bomb placed near scene of an illegal demonstration exploded in the southern province of Adana, news reports said on Sunday.

Injuries of the two police officers were serious, reports said. Police believe the bomb, placed in a pile of garbage on Obalar Street, was exploded by a remote control.

The explosion took place as riot police were trying to disperse an illegal demonstration in support of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). Demonstrators attacked the police with stones and Molotov cocktails.
