STUDENTS of Pawa Provincial Secondary School in Makira Province went rampant on Thursday night during a fiery riot that lasted until after midnight.
Reports reaching Solomon Star said students from forms one to four were demanding the removal of the school principal.
It is not clear at this stage what exactly forces the students to demand the removal of their leader.
However the reports said students have caused damage to some school facilities.
“Yes stones were thrown and window louvers of some offices were broken,” one reporter said.
Attempts to talk to the students and school principal yesterday were unsuccessful.
Pawa Secondary School is one of the founding and oldest schools to exist in the country.
