Three adults and five teenagers were charged after a noise complaint turned into a tussle with police on Tuesday, Lebanon police reported on Friday.
Police were sent to the 300 block of North Eighth Street to investigate a noise complaint at 10:54 p.m. When they arrived, several teens began to leave and did not listen to police who told them to stop.
As one teen was taken into custody, she resisted, and four others tried to help her get away by fighting with officers, police said. Other family members, adults and teens became involved. One of the adults was holding a 4-month-old baby and pushed an officer as the group was resisting arrest.
When officers placed suspects into the rear of police cars, participants in the incident opened the doors to allow the suspects to escape, police said. One woman ran to a street corner and yelled for more people to come to their aid and fight with police.
