Tunisair: strike of technical staff paralyzes traffic

Technical staff of Tunisair Technics observed, on Monday, an unannounced strike in the airports of Tunis, Djerba and Monastir, paralyzing air traffic.

Of the 14 flights scheduled Monday, only seven were able to take off to Barcelona, Lisbon, Brussels, Geneva, Munich, Dusseldorf and Toulouse.

Delayed flights are to Paris (3 flights), Nice, Marseilles, Algiers and Portugal.

Technicians had not made specific claims previously, Tunisair press official Soulefa Moukadem told TAP news agency, adding that negotiations are currently underway between the general management of the company and UGTT representatives to discuss their claims.
