Tunisia: a sit-in degenerates in Kebili, three policemen injured

TUNIS – A sit-in organized by families of victims to protest against the slowness of the Tunisian justice system has degenerated into clashes between youths and security forces Saturday in Kebili (south), TAP reported.
The event was organized by relatives of young people killed during the uprising of December 2010-January 2011, according to TAP. Nearly 300 young people began to throw stones at the district headquarters of the National Guard (police), and the security forces fired tear gas to disperse the crowd, according to security sources quoted by the agency.
Three policemen were injured and hospitalized, according to these sources.
