Afghan protesters block road in anti-U.S. demo

Afghan protesters have blocked the Kabul-Kandahar highway in protest at the recent killing of four Afghan civilians in U.S.-led operations in Ghazni Province of Afghanistan.

The protests came after NATO troops shelled a residential area in Gilan district of Ghazni Province, killing the four Afghans on Saturday, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Following the attack, hundreds of Afghans took to the streets in protest and blocked the main highway connecting Kabul to Kandahar.

Protesters strongly condemned the killing and warned of violent reaction by the public.
