Six cars torched by vandals in same street

Six cars parked in the same street in Glasgow were set alight by vandals.

Police have issued an appeal after the incident in Springburn in the early hours of Friday.

At around 1.30am police and the fire service were called after four cars in Keppochhill Road were set on fire, causing fire damage to another two vehicles parked nearby.

Constable Luke Johansson, of Strathclyde Police, said: “The cars were all parked on the street and are individually owned, so it would appear that rather than people being specifically targeted, this was wanton vandalism.
