Officers break-up near riot outside nightclub

WACO – Numerous officers had to keep a crowd from rioting outside a Waco nightclub early Sunday morning.

According to Waco police, it started when a man was kicked out of “Club Crush” on North 25th Street.

A Falls County Constable working security there had to use his taser gun on that man after he got physical with the officer and tried to run.

When the taser didn’t slow him down, the constable used pepper spray to corral him.

During this time police say a large crowd gathered outside the club and started cursing at officers and throwing rocks at their cars.

It took several hours for more officers to clear the scene.  Police say the officer’s cars were not damaged.
