Reports: Transit workers planning possible strike

MIAMI (WSVN) — Miami-Dade Transit officials are warning employees to show up to work after reports of transit and Metrorail employees planning a work slowdown on Monday and Tuesday.

According to reports, Metrobus drivers and Metrorail service employees may not show up to work on Aug. 15 and 16 to protest proposed wage cuts that are up for discussion in the upcoming budget hearing.

Transit officials said the slowdown is illegal and is advising all workers not to participate.
