A man in his 20s was arrested on Monday night by police during a violent riot in Hässelby Gård, western Stockholm. He is previously known by the police.
Another four men were identified by surveillance videos and will be taken in for questioning.
It was just before nine o’clock on Monday evening that the police were alerted to the metro station Hässelby Gård. A gang of between 20 and 30 young men had trashed the ticket collector’s box with a fire extinguisher and then emptied its contents inside the box.
When the police arrived at the scene the youths began to throw stones at them.
Then the youngsters smashed the windows of Hässelby police station and throw stones at a number of cars.
