Irked police job seekers run riot

FIROZABAD: Thousands of police job aspirants here yesterday turned violent, damaging vehicles and public property and fought pitched battles with the police after they were told to come after a few days to collect application forms.

Around 3,000 youths had queued up at the general post office (GPO) to buy forms for the constable level recruitment in Uttar Pradesh police. When told to come after a few days, they got angry and resorted to vandalism.
