Johannesburg, Pretoria Face Fuel Crisis If Strike Continues, Retailers Say

Shortages of gasoline and diesel in South Africa will increase amid a strike by petroleum and chemical workers, Reggie Sibiya, the head of the Fuel Retailers Association said.

The province of Gauteng, the nation’s main economic hub, is “already bleeding,” he said in an interview broadcast by Johannesburg-based e-News Channel today. The province will face a crisis if the strike continues for another two days, Sibiya said.
