Detainees of terrorism prison on hunger strike

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: A security source said here that the detainees in the terrorism prison in Ninewa have declared a hunger strike due to the maltreatment and for some demands.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that they held the hunger strike today (Sunday), noting that “more than 600 detainees are still on hunger strike, and will not end it until their demands are met.”

The demands concentrated on maltreatment, organizing family visits, rest hours in the sun, shopping center and other demands.

No other details were given.

Mosul, the center of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
