Anarchists claim responsibility for rail vandalism

 

An anarchist group has announced on its website that it was behind Sunday’s vandalism of a rail safety installation at Rekola in Vantaa. Earlier the group used the same web pages to claim its responsibility for the bomb left in Pasila at the start of June. The act of vandalism at Rekola is expected to disrupt rail traffic in and out of Helsinki for the entire week. The estimated damage runs to several hundred thousand euros. According to the Vantaa police conducting the investigation, the police are aware of the anarchists’ announcement. The police would not give further comment.
