Anti-KESC strike: 28 arson suspects remanded

The Administrative Judge of Anti-Terrorism Courts in Karachi remanded on Saturday 28 suspects facing arson charges in police custody till June 11.

Police produced the suspects, who were arrested for attacking the Korangi Industrial Area police station during a strike called against the downsizing plan for 4,500 Karachi Electric Supply Company’s workers and prolonged power outages in the city.

Investigation officer Chaudhry Manzoor submitted that the suspects attacked the police station and damaged its building and vehicles of police officials. AJ Justice Maqbool Baqar remanded the suspects in police custody for one week.
