Violent clashes reported in Silwan town

West Bank, (Pal Telegraph)- Israeli army invaded yesterday overnight Silwan town in the south of Al-Aqsa mosque,  in the occupied Jerusalem leading to violent clashes erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinian citizens.

According to local sources, the clashes started from the protest tent in Al-Bustan neighborhood and extended to include several neighborhoods in the town.

Fakhri Abu Diab,a member of Silwn defense committee, said that Israeli forces confronted with residents of the town who were protesting against Israeli ongoing brutal acts. Israeli army fired intensively  gas and sound bombs at civilians’ houses . Dozens suffered effects of tear gas inhalation .

Pointing out that Israeli army closed the main entrances of the town, while Palestinian youths responded by throwing stones and empty bottles in order to block the movement of Israeli soldiers.

Israeli police claimed that a number of Palestinians threw stones and empty bottles at a military outpost set up by Israeli army on the surface of a Palestinian house in Batn El-Hawa neighborhood without causalities reported among Israelis.
