Federal Police and Border Guard conduct eviction in Bajo Flores

Border guards along with Federal Police officers were deployed this morning in the Buenos Aires City neighbourhood of Bajo Flores to evict about 100 families that have taken over two streets on which they built poor houses.

This was the second eviction order released by Judge Claudia Alvaro to clear out the area. Land grabbers have been occupying and blocking two long unnamed streets between Castañares, and Riestra avenues, and Portela, and Lafuente streets surrounded by the Marianista School and the Asociáción Atlética Argentinos Juniors club.
In order to leave, grabbers demand to be relocated and given with decent houses, but according to BA City Social Development Minister, María Eugenia Vidal, “we are not giving out any houses for the grabbers”, and added, “though we are thinking of relocating them into a City shelter.”
