Kyambogo University students on strike

17th April, 2011

Anti riot Police have deployed heavily at Kyambogo University in Kampala to disperse rowdy students who have gone on strike on Monday morning.

The cause of the strike is related to change in fees structure.

Barely three weeks ago, lectures at the University were interrupted as students protested what they termed as ‘bad administration’.

The students accused the administration of failing to improve the hygiene and sanitation, toiletry facilities and failure to furnish the computer laboratory among other grievances. More details to follow.
