Prisoner in Roumieh tells New TV the protest is against sectarian treatment

A riot broke out in Roumieh Prison on Saturday when prisoners started burning mattresses and breaking windows in building D in the prison.

The ISF immediately sent reinforcements to the prison to control the situation.

According to New TV, a man from inside the prison called them and said “there have been wounded prisoners for three days who have not been moved from here, and we are protesting against the guards who deal with the prisoners in a sectarian way.”
