Metal workers in central Turkey go on strike

Employees at the Doruk Ev Gereçleri facility, a home appliance manufacturer, have gone on strike in the Central Anatolian province of Eskişehir, Doğan news agency, or DHA, reported Tuesday.

“Inequalities in wage distribution have brought us to this point,” said Adnan Serdaroğlu, chairman of Birleşik Metal-İş, a metalworkers union affiliated with the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions, or DİSK.
