Greece: Bomb defused outside tax office, building cleared after telephone warning

ATHENS, Greece – Police in Greece say a bomb has been destroyed outside a tax office in a central Athens suburb, following a telephone warning to a daily newspaper.

No one was hurt.

Police bomb experts destroyed the device on Wednesday outside the building in the Neos Kosmos area of the capital. The tax office was evacuated after the warning call.

Police did not give any immediate details on the type of explosive device found.
