Protest group says leader detained from home

RAMALLAH (Ma’an) — Organizers with the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee said Sunday that protest organizer from An-Nabi Saleh Naji Tamimi was taken by Israeli forces early in the morning during a home invasion.

A statement released by the group said dozens of soldiers entered the village, located near the Hallamish settlement north of Ramallah, shortly after 1:30 a.m. and conducted home searches targeting Tamimi and his colleague Bassem Tamimi, who was said to have been out of the house at the time.

Naji was said to have been woken from sleep and taken from the home blindfolded and handcuffed.
