Marchers to Protest Miami Police Shootings

Protestors angry over a recent series of deadly police-involved shootings in Miami are set to hold a community march Thursday.

Marchers will walk from Gipson Park in Overtown to Miami Police headquarters beginning at 5:30 p.m., organizers said.

The protestors are demanding a more thorough investigation into the seven shootings and demand Police Chief Miguel Exposito’s termination.

Since July 2010, seven African-American men have been shot and killed by Miami Police, two of them reportedly unarmed. Exposito has said his department is investigating each case.
