Five Teens Arrested After Mental Facility Riot

POTTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — State police at the Rockview barracks have confirmed with WJAC-TV that five juveniles have been arrested following a disturbance inside a Centre County mental health facility.

Troopers say that two boys and three girls ranging from 13 to 17-years-old have been charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and sparking a riot.

Authorities say that several employees and a trooper were injured in the riot inside Meadows Psychiatric Center near Centre Hall Thursday night.

Officials at the Rockview barracks told WJAC-TV that the injured officer sustained several broken bones but is expected to recover.

An administrator at the Meadows Psychiatric Center declined to comment on the incident.
