Greek Police Arrest German Woman on Suspected Terrorism Links

Greek police arrested a 27-year old German national on charges of participation in a terrorist organization and possession of a weapon.

Marie Fee Meyer is being held until a district attorney hears her case later today, according to a statement posted on the Hellenic Police website today.

The woman was initially arrested on suspicion of involvement with a terrorist group last month and released after a disagreement between police and court officials, a police spokesman, who declined to be identified in line with policy, said by telephone.

A police inquiry showed a link between Meyer and four men, aged from 21 to 23, arrested last month on suspected involvement in an Oct. 13 bombing of a Public Power Corp. SA office in Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city.
